Christ Covenant OPC holds to the Bible as our ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice. What the Bible says, we believe.

We also subscribe to the Westminster Standards (the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Westminster Larger Catechism, and the Westminster Shorter Catechism). They are not equal to the word of God, but we are convinced that they faithfully summarize the teachings of the Bible. If you would like to view these documents for yourself, you will find them at this page.

As a church in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, we also approve the Book of Church Order of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church which is made up of three parts: the Form of Government, the Book of Discipline, and the Directory for Public Worship. If you are unfamiliar with the idea of one, a book of church order lays out how churches will handle various matters. To be sure each church has a significant measure of freedom still, but a BCO cuts down on the possibility of a maverick pastor (or church) flying by the seat of his pants and making up the rules as he goes. A book of church order leads to greater transparency in church operations, and it ensures a greater level of accountability between churches. You can learn more about our book of church order on this page.
